Purchase Manager

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies to find and qualify suppliers for complex railway components (e.g., castings, forgings, electronics).
• Vendor Management: Build strong relationships, negotiate pricing/terms, manage performance (KPIs), and conduct supplier audits.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all procured items meet stringent railway standards (IRS, RDSO, ISO), engineering specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering (technical needs), Production (material requirements), and Inventory (stock levels).
• Cost & Budget Control: Manage procurement budgets, analyze costs, identify savings, and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Inventory & Logistics: Oversee demand forecasting, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials to production.
• Process Improvement: Enhance purchasing systems, implement best practices, and train staff.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar.
• Experience: Proven experience in railway, heavy engineering, or automotive procurement.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of railway standards, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Skills: Negotiation, analytical skills, team leadership, ERP proficiency, risk management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
