Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement purchasing plans, forecast demand, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, negotiate, select, build relationships, monitor performance, and manage contracts with vendors.
- Project Coordination: Work with Project Managers to align procurement with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage purchasing budgets, track costs, and ensure competitive pricing for materials.
- Inventory & Logistics: Oversee inventory, schedule deliveries, ensure timely arrival, and manage storage.
- Risk Management: Mitigate risks from price fluctuations and ensure quality control.
- Reporting & Compliance: Maintain records, approve payments, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise purchasing staff, foster new product awareness, and stay updated on market trends.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction procurement.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- Deep understanding of construction materials, market trends, and supply chain.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and teams.
- Excellent communication and vendor relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
