Job Purpose
The Purchase / Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of raw materials, additives, packaging materials, and other production-related items for Oscar Lubricants. The role ensures timely availability of materials, cost optimization, supplier relationship management, and compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Ensure materials are available on time to avoid production delays.
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for raw materials, additives, packaging, and other goods.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings while ensuring quality.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Raise purchase orders based on production needs and inventory levels.
- Track orders, deliveries, and supplier commitments to ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Resolve supplier-related issues such as delays, quality defects, or discrepancies.
- Monitor material usage and inventory levels to reduce excess stock and minimize holding costs.
- Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with warehouse and supply chain teams to optimize inventory turnover.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records for audits, ISO compliance, and traceability.
- Monitor and enforce ethical and transparent procurement practices.
- Supervise procurement staff and ensure they follow SOPs and procurement policies.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Set performance targets and monitor KPIs for the procurement function.
- Prepare regular procurement reports including purchase costs, supplier performance, delivery timelines, and savings achieved.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier terms, and material handling.
- Implement best practices in sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization.
- Support Lean and 5S initiatives in procurement and warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in lubricants, chemicals, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and procurement tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, HSE, and regulatory requirements for chemicals and packaging.
Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ajman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
