Job description:
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Plan and execute procurement of construction, electrical, plumbing, and finishing materials.
- Manage vendors/suppliers and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts to achieve cost optimization.
- Develop long-term relationships with reliable suppliers.
Material Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and store teams to understand material requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites to avoid work stoppage.
- Monitor consumption and minimize wastage.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Ensure procurement is within approved project budgets.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain records of purchases, vendor agreements, invoices, and delivery challans.
- Ensure compliance with GST, statutory norms, and company policies.
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and timely payment.
Inventory & Store Coordination
- Coordinate with storekeepers for stock management and inventory control.
- Ensure proper material reconciliation and reporting.
- Provide regular MIS to management regarding procurement status.
Experience & Qualification
- 5–10 years of experience within the construction/building industry.
- Experience handling multi-site projects preferred.
- Graduate
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and market rates.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suit.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Analytical and cost-control mindset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
