Key responsibilities

  • Supplier and contract management: Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Negotiate and manage contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable agreements.
  • Procurement strategy and process management: Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures. Analyze and improve existing purchasing processes and systems to increase efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Internal collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to understand material requirements and ensure they align with technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Inventory and logistics: Monitor inventory levels, forecast future needs, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Manage and coordinate the logistics of receiving and distributing goods.
  • Cost and risk management: Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Perform risk assessments on contracts and ensure procurement activities are cost-efficient.
  • Reporting and compliance: Maintain accurate purchasing records, generate management reports, and ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is often required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector, is typically necessary.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Understanding of engineering documents, such as bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Pay: From ₹45,000.00 per month
