Purchase Manager ( jewelry exp)

We are seeking a dynamic Purchase Manager with deep expertise in the jewellery industry to oversee sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization for our silver jewellery collections. Reporting to the Operations Head, you will ensure high-quality materials at competitive prices while supporting our growth in retail and online sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials (silver, gemstones, findings, packaging) from reliable domestic and international vendors, negotiating contracts for best rates and terms.
• Conduct market research on silver prices, gemstone trends, and supplier reliability to forecast needs and minimize stockouts.
• Manage vendor relationships, perform quality audits, and ensure compliance with jewellery industry standards (e.g., hallmarking, BIS certifications).
• Develop and maintain purchase budgets, track inventory levels using ERP systems, and optimize costs to achieve 10-15% savings annually.
• Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams to align procurement with new collection launches and seasonal demands.
• Handle import/export documentation, customs duties, and logistics for international sourcing.
• Analyze supplier performance metrics and implement risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions.
• Prepare reports on purchase KPIs, inventory turnover, and cost variances for senior management.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Purchase Manager/Executive in jewellery manufacturing or retail (silver/gold expertise mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of jewellery materials, market pricing (e.g., MCX silver rates), and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software (e.g., Tally, SAP), and negotiation tools.
• Excellent vendor management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel for vendor visits and trade fairs (e.g., IIJS, GJEPC events).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
