Purchase Manager (Surgical Instruments)

As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing finished goods for the company, ensuring competitive pricing, consistent quality, and timely availability of products. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement operations to support smooth business operations and sales requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for finished goods.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of goods.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with sales and warehouse teams to maintain adequate inventory.
  • Ensure purchased products meet company quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new sourcing opportunities.
  • Track market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all procurement activities.
  • Resolve supply delays, quality issues, or discrepancies with vendors.
  • Prepare purchasing reports and cost analysis for management review.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Good understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience purchasing surgical or medical products.
  • Familiarity with quality compliance standards for medical products.
