Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement purchasing strategies for construction projects to optimize costs and ensure quality.
- Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services, securing best prices and terms.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance and ensuring reliability.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance, and field teams to understand needs and ensure timely delivery to sites.
- Cost & Budget Control: Track expenditures, analyze costs, forecast price trends, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Inventory & Logistics: Monitor material needs, manage inventory, and ensure efficient delivery to project sites.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain procurement records, contracts, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in procurement, ideally within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction materials, market trends, and supply chain practices. Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and business acumen.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field often preferred. Proficiency with procurement software and data analysis.
