The Purchase Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement cycle for Boat Manufacturing projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality sourcing of materials and equipment from Local and International markets. The ideal candidate must have minimum 1 years’ experience in boat Building Company and along with strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end purchase process for company.
- Source and purchase products from approved vendors and global suppliers, ensuring best pricing and quality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Review technical specifications, BOQs, and project requirements with engineers and project managers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and maintain purchase documentation including purchase orders, quotations, and agreements.
- Work closely with finance and production teams for payments, customs clearance, materials requisition and material handling.
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new product releases in the line items
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1+ years of minimum experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in Boat Building Company.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- UAE/GCC procurement experience preferred.
