Job Title: Purchaser – Food & Beverage
Job Summary
We are seeking a Purchaser – Food & Beverage to manage sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of food and beverage items required for daily operations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the F&B industry, strong supplier management skills, and a good understanding of quality, cost control, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and purchase food & beverage items in line with company standards
- Maintain relationships with approved suppliers and vendors
- Ensure timely procurement to support uninterrupted operations
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/kitchens to avoid shortages or wastage
- Compare prices, quality, and specifications to ensure best value
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with finance/accounts for invoice verification and payments
- Track market trends, pricing changes, and availability of F&B products
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage purchasing is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of F&B products, suppliers, and market pricing
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic purchasing systems
- Experience in UAE hospitality or restaurant industry is an advantage
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of inventory control and cost management
- Ability to coordinate with multiple outlets or kitchens
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
