Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery time.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors.
  • Raise purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of medicines and consumables.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with store staff for demand forecasting.
  • Maintain purchase records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with the billing and inventory teams for stock entries.
  • Verify invoices and delivery challans for accuracy.
  • Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain good relationships with vendors and evaluate their performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree (preferred in Pharmacy, Commerce, or related field).
  • Experience: 1–3 years in purchase/procurement, preferably in a medical or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Knowledge of medicines, surgical items, and medical supplies.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory and billing software (like Marg, Medico, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of drug procurement regulations and GST billing.
