Purchase & Store Assistant

Procurement and Inventory Management: Source, order, and track construction materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the project. Maintain accurate inventory records, and implement effective inventory control practices.

Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure the timely availability of materials.

Logistical Coordination: Coordinate the timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all materials and supplies meet the required quality standards and specifications. Perform quality checks on incoming materials and address any discrepancies promptly.

Budget Management: Monitor expenses related to procurement and inventory management, and work within budgetary guidelines. Identify cost-saving opportunities and make informed decisions to optimize spending.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels. Generate regular reports for project stakeholders to keep them informed of material availability and procurement status.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams within the construction project, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure smooth coordination of materials and resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or any graduation degree.
  • Proven experience as a Store Manager in high-rise construction, with a minimum of 8 years.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in store management software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to stores.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in construction.
