We are looking for a Purchase & Store Associate to support procurement and material management activities for the renovation and maintenance of an existing rice mill. The role involves assisting with purchasing, vendor coordination, inventory control, and store operations related to electrical, mechanical, and structural works, ensuring smooth site operations and timely material availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in procurement of electrical, mechanical, and civil materials as per project requirements
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, orders, and deliveries
- Prepare purchase requests and assist in issuing purchase orders
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials at site
- Maintain stock registers, material issue records, and inventory reports
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials
- Coordinate with Project Coordinator and Site Supervisor for daily material needs
- Track material consumption and report shortages or excess stock
- Verify delivery challans and assist in invoice checking
- Support cost control and wastage reduction initiatives
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in site purchase and store operations for construction or industrial projects
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil materials
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic documentation
- Good coordination, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work on-site
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in industrial projects, rice mills, or manufacturing plants
- Familiarity with GST documentation, invoices, and material audits
- Experience working in a site store environment
