Job Description: Purchase & Store Officer – Modular Office Furniture

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Purchase Officer & Store Officer to manage end-to-end procurement and store operations for a modular office furniture manufacturing unit. The role includes sourcing raw materials, hardware, consumables, machinery spares, inventory control, and ensuring smooth coordination between purchase, stores, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Responsibilities
- Complete procurement of Particle Board, MDF, HDHMR, plywood, laminates, PVC edge banding
- Purchase modular furniture hardware: hinges, drawer channels, locks, handles, connectors, screws, fittings
- Workstation hardware: partition connectors, cable trays, grommets, power modules, leveling legs
- Procurement of metal items, CRCA sheets, frames, glass fittings, upholstery materials (foam, fabric)
- Purchase adhesives, paints, PU, chemicals, and consumables
- Arrange packing materials: cartons, foam, bubble wrap, stretch film, tapes
- Procure machinery spares for CNC, panel saw, edge banding machines, tools, and cutters
- Vendor development, price negotiation, comparative statements, PO generation
- Follow-up for timely delivery and payment coordination
- Coordinate with production, design, store, and accounts teams
- Inventory planning as per production schedule
- Maintain purchase documentation and reports
Stores Responsibilities
- Handle inward and outward material movement
- Check material quality and quantity during receipt
- Prepare GRN and coordinate with purchase & accounts
- Ensure proper stacking and categorized storage
- Maintain stock register (physical & ERP system)
- Conduct regular physical stock verification & reconciliation
- Monitor minimum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions
- Control material issuance as per approved BOM
- Maintain FIFO system and minimize wastage
- Maintain records of rejected, damaged, or returned materials
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Business Administration / Engineering
- Diploma or Certification in Materials Management / Supply Chain (preferred)
- ERP training or certification will be an added advantage
Experience Details
- 4–8 years of experience in factory-based purchase and store operations
- Minimum 2–3 years in modular office furniture manufacturing preferred
- Hands-on experience in procurement of boards, hardware, workstation fittings, and factory consumables.
- Experience in handling store inventory in a manufacturing setup
- Knowledge of BOM-based material planning.

- Understanding of production workflow and material planning
- Vendor management and strong negotiation skills
- Inventory control and stock management expertise
- ERP / MS Excel proficiency
- Good coordination and communication skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in modular workstations, office tables, storage units, and partitions
- Ability to handle both Purchase and Store operations independently
- Strong analytical and cost-control mindset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,534.88 - ₹28,000.00 per month
