Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Request and compare quotations to ensure the best purchasing terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain updated supplier databases, price lists, and product records.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts departments for material requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement based on stock requirements.
- Check and verify materials received against purchase orders and invoices.
- Handle import/export documentation if required.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality concerns, or shortages.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing for all purchases.
- Prepare weekly and monthly purchase reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchaser/Procurement Officer (1–3 years+ preferred).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of market trends and supplier networks.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP software (if applicable).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
