Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors/suppliers for materials, spare parts, and services
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and follow-ups
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with vendors
- Ensure timely procurement of construction materials, machinery parts, fuel, and consumables
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor data, and rate comparisons
- Coordinate with site team, accounts, and stores for material requirement and delivery
- Ensure quality, quantity, and specifications as per requirement
- Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory
- Handle billing verification and coordinate with accounts for payment processing
- Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate (B.Com / BBA / Any relevant degree preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience as Purchaser (Construction industry preferred)
- Good knowledge of local vendors and market rates
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of GST, billing, and inventory
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and ERP (if applicable)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
