Purchaser and Horticulturist

Purchaser/ Horticulturist is an integral role that works with all areas of our business. Primary duties include purchasing plant materials and other consumables, designing all flower beds and planters, creating and managing training materials, performing quality inspections. property audits and other projects like helping to manage internship programs and general horticultural training and duties. Training will be administered for flower technicians and general training for maintenance and installation crews. Position will be charged with general horticulture training company wide, to include account managers and other management roles.

Core Job Duties:

● Designing all beds and planters and ordering needed plant materials

● Perform quality audits for annual and general horticultural practices

● Assist in training for general horticultural practices company wide

● Training technicians on how to detail beds and pots, assist as needed with detailing

● Ensure crews have proper materials for floral installations in morning during installations

● Work alongside Branch Manager to develop maintenance programs and standards

General Compensation:

● Salary Range $65,000-$90,000

Requirements:

● College degree in Floriculture, Horticulture or other related major.

● Strong Knowledge of plant material and horticultural practices

● Strong Knowledge of computer skills and design software’s

● Strong communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels

and signs, complete daily reports to office and/or customers

● Time management skills, self-starter

● Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various

● landscape/construction practices

● Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team

● Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks

● Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
