Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchaser to handle procurement activities for our Building Materials Trading division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality building materials, negotiating competitive prices, and ensuring timely delivery to support sales and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers for a wide range of building materials.
- Request, review, and compare quotations to secure the best pricing and terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and expand the supplier network for better pricing and reliability.
- Coordinate closely with the sales team to ensure material availability based on client requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment as needed.
- Track orders, follow up on deliveries, and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain updated price lists, supplier records, and procurement documentation.
- Conduct regular market research to stay updated on trends, pricing changes, and new materials.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Purchaser or Procurement Officer within building materials trading, hardware trading, or construction supply industry.
- Strong knowledge of building materials and suppliers in the market.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- UAE driving license.
