Purchaser (Mechanical Engineering Background)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically knowledgeable Purchaser with a Mechanical Engineering background to manage the procurement of mechanical equipment, materials, tools and services. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, evaluating quotations, negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery of quality products in line with project and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand technical specifications, drawings and material requirements.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for mechanical equipment, spare parts and consumables.
• Obtain and compare quotations based on technical and commercial requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely supply.
• Coordinate with engineering, projects and warehouse teams regarding material requirements.
• Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and company standards.
• Maintain supplier database and develop strong vendor relationships.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolve supply, quality, or delivery issues with vendors.
• Maintain procurement records and documentation accurately.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
