Reporting To: Management / Production Head
Team Handling: Vendor & supplier coordination

Role Purpose

The Purchaser is responsible for ensuring timely availability of quality raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables at optimal cost, while maintaining supplier reliability, compliance, and long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning

• Understand monthly & weekly production plans and translate them into procurement requirements
• Prepare purchase plans for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and spares
• Ensure minimum inventory levels while avoiding overstocking

Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials and packaging
• Conduct price comparisons and negotiate cost, credit terms, and delivery timelines
• Maintain approved vendor list and supplier performance scorecards
• Develop alternate supplier base to mitigate supply risks

Cost Control & Optimization

• Monitor market price trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction
• Work closely with Finance to control procurement budgets
• Support per-unit cost calculation and margin improvement initiatives

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure procurement materials meet food-grade, quality, and compliance standards
• Coordinate with Production & QA teams for quality validation
• Maintain proper documentation (invoices, GRNs, compliance certificates)

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain purchase records, contracts, and vendor agreements
• Generate procurement MIS reports and cost analysis
• Support audits and compliance checks

Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation & commercial acumen
• Knowledge of food raw materials & packaging standards
• Excel & ERP familiarity
• Process-driven and detail-oriented

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
