Position Overview: Buyer – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

Location: Knox, IN (On-site)

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8-hour Day Shift

Role Summary: The Buyer plays a crucial role in developing and managing a reliable supply base to support the company’s manufacturing strategy. You’ll partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to manage supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and ensure quality, timely delivery, and inventory optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and qualify new suppliers
• Collaborate on cost reduction initiatives with existing suppliers
• Work with suppliers on continuous quality improvement
• Maintain inventory levels within target thresholds
• Issue purchase orders and manage supplier performance
• Drive results in alignment with financial and operational targets

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• 2–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in supplier management and procurement
• Knowledge of freight, net terms, and T&Cs
• Manufacturing background, ideally with metal finishing
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
