Purchasing Agent

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role requires strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles. The Purchasing Agent will collaborate with various departments to support production planning and logistics, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Duties

• Manage the procurement process from sourcing to purchasing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings based on quality, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing while maintaining strong relationships.
• Collaborate with materials management and production planning teams to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained for uninterrupted operations.
• Monitor supply chain logistics to optimize delivery schedules and reduce lead times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Familiarity with supply chain management practices and logistics operations.
• Ability to analyze data effectively to inform decision-making processes related to sourcing and pricing strategies.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
