Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and EXPERIENCED Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and supplies are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires strong communication skills and an understanding of supply chain management. The Purchasing Agent will play a critical role in maintaining inventory control and supporting production planning efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, production planning, and inventory management to align purchasing strategies with business needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain management to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of materials.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, optimize sourcing strategies, and improve overall procurement efficiency.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of materials management, MRP processes, and inventory control techniques.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to pricing, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

Preferred (Not Required, but a Plus)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • HVAC industry experience (parts, service, or installation knowledge)
  • Warehouse experience or warehouse management background
  • Construction industry experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
