Job Summary: The Purchasing Agent reports to the Purchasing Manager and assists in all aspects of acquiring the required components and supplies for Bunnell Inc.
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Interacts with vendors and departments regarding procurement procedures and status of orders.
2. Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability, and other criteria.
3. Interacts with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.
4. Maintains and updates purchase order information regarding lead times, pricing, and order status.
5. Maintains records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and audit guidelines.
6. Assists with reconciliation between receiving, invoicing, and procurement records.
7. Expedite shipping and deliveries of open purchase orders as needed.
8. Helps maintain inventories through reports and employee communications.
9. Manages purchase orders and ensures timely procurement of required materials.
10. Coordinates the return and replacement of incorrect or nonconforming parts.
11. Oversees vendor drawing revisions to ensure all suppliers have the most current versions of custom component designs.
12. Monitors lead time and proactively manage the ordering of long lead-time materials to prevent production delays.
13. Tracks part receipts and payments to maintain accurate inventory and financial records.
14. Fosters and maintains strong, professional relationships with vendors.
15. Coordinates scheduled deliveries to support uninterrupted receiving operations at Bunnell.
16. Reviews components for potential obsolescence and recommends replacements as needed.
17. Provides vendors with required long-Lead time or obsolete components to support ongoing production.
18. May be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and may occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Computer skills including
· 2+ years of experience in similar or related roles
· Microsoft/Excel experience
(Spreadsheet experience)
· MRP/Inventory basics
· Demonstrate organizational skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Preferred Experience:
· Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and MRP systems.
· Good organizational skills.
· Good problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrates good human relation skills.
· Comfortable with continuously communications via phone, emails, in person
This position is in office M-F.

Pay: $53,989.70 - $63,019.86 per year
