Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase material to support the Company's production of enclosed cargo trailers
• Conduct daily/weekly cycle counts and keep internal inventory control systems & reports updated
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with production personnel to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
• Collaborate with various departments to support production planning and inventory control efforts.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies in supply chain management.
• Support other production / administrative functions as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficient in supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is an employment-at-will, hourly (or salary) paid position (commensurate with experience).

Arising Industries was founded in 2007, and is a manufacturer of custom enclosed cargo, car hauler, concession, motorcycle, A.T.V., construction, tool, office, and equipment trailers. It employs over 100 individuals and operates out of Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
