Purchasing Agent for Electrical Contractor

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in purchasing of electrical supplies and have electrical background. This role involves buying of all electrical parts, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing materials and inventory effectively. The Purchasing Agent will also play a vital role in sourcing materials.

Responsibilities

• Work with field employees to make sure they have material for their jobs in a timely manner.
• Utilize Sage 100 to issues Purchase Orders to vendors.
• Oversee inventory control and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials for projects.
• Engage in sourcing and purchasing activities, negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Implement best practices in inventory management and pricing strategies to optimize project costs.
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards

Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, procurement and sourcing of electrical materials.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient understanding of inventory control methods and platforms related to electrical supplies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Pay: $1,700.00 - $1,800.00 per week
