Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track and manage inventory levels.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
- Analyze pricing trends and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Coordinator/Agent or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Edwards) and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
