Successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing experience
- Builds both internal and external relationships with primary focus on managing inventory in support of our customers
- Ability to contribute and demonstrate conscientiousness, dependability and commitment to the role, team, and company
- Able to critically think and problem solve to make decisions that correlate with the company's Mission and Goals.
- Manage inventory using analytical skillsets to ensure availability in support of achieving Customer Service Levels
- Ability to plan, forecast, place, and monitor purchase orders with suppliers to maintain stocking levels that meet inventory dollars and turns goals
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (percentages, ratios, conversions, and proportions to practical solutions)
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects.
- Understand overall business operations and the impact this position has on the Company's success
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing), with other individuals, teams, suppliers, and customers at various levels of the organization to influence, persuade, negotiate, and engage all parties in a professional manner
- Advanced computer skills required for work creating and entering data on Excel spreadsheets. Oracle, JD Edwards AS400 System knowledge is desirable.
- Proven ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks productively and efficiently in a busy work environment
- Ability to assume responsibilities and tasks as assigned
- Take initiative and be proactive in addressing issues to quickly and efficiently complete tasks
- Minimum high school diploma, college degree preferred
