About the Role
As a Purchasing Analyst, you’ll help ensure our departments have the equipment, supplies, and services they need to operate safely and efficiently. You’ll analyze purchasing trends, work with vendors, and help make smart buying decisions that support our mission of excellence in patient care.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with department leaders to understand their needs and find the best equipment, materials, and products for them.
- Develop Procedures: Help create and improve purchasing and inventory policies to make our operations more efficient.
- Work with Vendors: Communicate regularly with supplier representatives to review costs, contracts, and opportunities.
- Research and Analyze: Study market conditions and price trends to help make informed purchasing decisions.
- Handle Bids and Quotes: Request and review bids from vendors to ensure fairness and compliance with company policies.
- Process Requests: Act on approved purchase requisitions from department managers or leadership.
- Maintain Records: Keep purchasing and recordkeeping systems accurate and organized.
- Resolve Issues: Work with vendors and staff to solve any purchasing-related problems.
- Support the Team: Take on special projects or other duties as needed.
What You Bring
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and 5 years of purchasing experience preferred; OR
- Associate’s degree and 7 years of purchasing experience required; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Skills & Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and find creative solutions.
- A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change.

Work Environment
- Office-based position with regular computer use.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The environment is generally quiet to moderate, with occasional deadlines or high-tension situations.
- Employees in this role are eligible for the Hepatitis B vaccination per OSHA standards.
Compensation
While the exact pay will vary based on your education, training, skills, and experience, the range is from $47,190.64 annually (or $22.69 per hour) to $66,066.90 annually (or $31.76 per hour).
