Purchasing and Logistics Manager

POSITION SUMMARY The Purchasing and Logistics Manager works to improve Air-Tec’s construction purchasing, receiving and dispatching priorities and the inventory tracking of all warehouse equipment items to and from job sites. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Oversee Procuring purchase orders from Project Managers for construction projects via Sage/Timberline.
- Fullilling orders from our in-house cut tickets by pulling from inventory, ordering or obtaining from our onsite fabrication shop.
- Manages the inventory of the company warehouse via Sage/Timberline.
- This person will also be the first call employee for the office after hour alarm calls or access issues.
- Hiring and managing drivers and warehouse crew
- Must represent the Purchasing and Logistics Department in a professional manner.
- Schedules the delivery of materials to construction sites, coordinates the final clean up on completed jobs and schedules/monitors drivers.
- Possess the capabilities of being organized and proactive in anticipating time sensitive deliveries and other responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Will be interfacing directly with Owner, Chief Operating Officer, Controller, Project Managers and Field Crew.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedules and manages drivers to ensure the timely delivery of materials to job sites without incurring overtime and delays.
- Oversees and develops managerial staff to obtain peak performance and high efficiencies.
- Knowledge of HVAC industry
OTHER SKILLS
- Ability to speak, hear, see, walk, climb and stand.
- Ability to speak, read understand and write in English.
- Fluency in Spanish helpful.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Certification to drive a fork lift- Training Certification a plus
- Ability to implement and manage an electronic inventory management system.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Sage/Timberline.
- Ability to treat others with dignity and respect and maintain a positive attitude.
- Dependable/flexible.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Eye for detail, observant and takes action.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and know what is important.
- Ability to concentrate, think and learn.
- Good driving record expected.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Position is in an office, warehouse and sometimes a field position. Overnight stays are not ruled out but they are expected to be minimal at best. Position is subject to holidays and weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 per year
