Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Asset Coordinator to support procurement, inventory, and asset tracking operations. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate records of company assets and inventory to support project execution and operational efficiency in a hands-on warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials, parts, and equipment while negotiating competitive pricing and terms
- Process purchase orders and expedite deliveries to meet project timelines
- Evaluate and recommend shipping methods, routing, and carriers to meet delivery requirements and cost objectives
- Track and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Identify pricing discrepancies and collaborate with leadership to determine the best purchasing solutions
- Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, packing slips, and receiving reports
- Submit required documentation to Accounting accurately and on time
- Assist with material transfers and accounting adjustments within project management systems
- Transfer inventory from warehouse locations to job orders within CE (current system)
- Issue materials and tools to employees while maintaining accurate tracking logs
- Receive, inspect, organize, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and support asset tracking processes
Asset Coordination Responsibilities
- Track and manage company assets, including tools, equipment, and materials
- Maintain asset logs, ensuring accurate check-in/check-out records
- Assign and track tools and equipment to employees and projects
- Support the Hilti equipment system and ensure proper tool accountability
- Coordinate repair, maintenance, and replacement of damaged or lost equipment
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with cycle counts and periodic inventory audits
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Travel 10–20% annually as needed
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
- Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management, inventory control, and asset tracking
- Experience managing tools, equipment, or company assets preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
