XPC is seeking a purchasing assistant that is primarily responsible for providing support in all purchasing and procurement of product including order entry functions from presales to post sales within our market leading company. In this role, you will provide continuity of product for orders, providing communication from operations to sales, coordinate lead time, and all aspects of order entry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in tracking and interpreting stock items to build purchase orders
  • Resolve problems concerning deadlines, logistics systems, or customer issues.
  • Act as a liaison between potential suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant internal departments
  • Maintain a thorough product knowledge
  • Order products, and equipment as directed
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of purchasing policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
  • Work with management and customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
  • Perform order entry, order expediting, customer service call resolution, return goods authorization, processing of backorders
  • Customer communication with respect to order fulfillment

Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

  • Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2-3 years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Comfortable entering and retrieving data on web-portals, etc./quick learner
  • Excellent math, organization, and time management skills
  • Customer service experience with superior phone skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, performance based environment
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Detail oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
