Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing and inventory operations. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, analytical, and comfortable working with inventory data and office software. Experience in purchasing is preferred, but we are open to training the right candidate with strong foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with purchasing activities, including creating and tracking purchase orders
- Perform inventory counting and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records
- Maintain and update inventory data in internal systems
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding orders and inventory needs
- Support general administrative tasks related to purchasing and inventory management
- Help identify inventory discrepancies and assist with resolution
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to perform inventory counting and cycle counting
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Basic math and data entry skills
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Previous experience in purchasing or supply chain support
- Experience using QuickBooks
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
