Purchasing Agent – Aircraft Interiors

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to support aircraft interior completions. This role is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing materials required to meet production schedules while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities, and has experience working with suppliers in a regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials and components for aircraft interiors, including cabinetry, upholstery, hardware, and electrical components
- Issue RFQs, analyze quotes, and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers
- Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery aligned with production schedules
- Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, responsiveness)
- Expedite critical materials, including support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations
- Ensure all materials meet regulatory and certification requirements (traceability, documentation, flammability compliance)
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Program Management teams
- Support engineering changes (ECR/ECO) by coordinating material updates and supplier communication
- Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience (aerospace or manufacturing preferred)
- Experience with aircraft interiors, completions, or aviation materials strongly preferred
- Understanding of aerospace compliance and documentation (CoC, traceability, etc.)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aircraft completions or MRO environment
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and flammability standards (FAR 25.853)
- APICS or supply chain certification (a plus)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
