As we continue to expand, TAG is seeking a Purchasing Associate to join our growing Operations team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to operational excellence.

Position Overview

The Purchasing Associate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites across the U.S. and abroad. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute purchasing activities in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
  • Source materials, obtain vendor quotations, and evaluate options for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders while maintaining accurate procurement records.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineering to forecast and schedule material needs.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Coordinate freight logistics, including international shipments and customs documentation.
  • Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving delivery or logistics challenges.
  • Build controls and equipment submittals based on engineering needs.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with stock control and reconciliation.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support reliability and quality.
  • Support the continuous improvement of purchasing and logistics processes.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting/Bookkeeping, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing and inventory control processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Expeiereince putting technical submittals together
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding suppliers and logistics.
  • Experience with domestic and international freight coordination preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
