Purchasing Buyer Manufacturing

Potomac Electric Corp ( www.potomacelectric.com) designs manufactures and markets high performance servomotors, electronics controllers and automated equipment for industrial applications. We have an immediate opening in Hyde Park, Boston area for a hands on buyer/planner help our growth.

Position Summary:

Responsible to plan and execute production through ERP and shop order system, This is hands on position. You will purchase for production and engineering. You support will work with engineering, manufacturing
The position requires everyday presence at the factory. Th is not a remote position.

Skills and Experience required for the job:

5-7 years of most recent hands on experience in manufacturing or distribution business

You need to be technical in working with our departments and vendors supplying custom tooled parts, machined parts, machinery and fixtures. You need to speak the language and understand the needs of engineering, production, sales and quality control departments.

Experience with ERP systems and shop order driven purchasing systems is mandatory.

Attention to details. Ability to work independently and make decisions

Good communication and negotiating skills.
