Under general supervision of the General Manager, the Purchasing Clerk monitors, documents and
rectifies discrepancies with supplies of materials and parts throughout the shop. As part of their
regular duties, the specialist is tasked with monitoring inventory levels of raw materials, die parts
and operating supplies as they are used in the process of die production. The specialist is also
tasked with comparing costs, negotiating purchase agreements and ordering inventory as it
fluctuates to meet the needs of the business
Essential Skills:
Exceptional follow-up skills to ensure timelines are met to ensure repeat business
Effective communicator who is able to relay information to coworkers and supervisors
Able to effectively utilize their resources to problem solve issues with inventory
management
Forklift experience
Strict attention to detail and the ability to objectively check and correct completed work
Basic data input skills
Familiarity with cycle counting process
Job Duties:
Monitor inventory of raw materials and parts with the aid of computerized inventory

Track inventory levels for multiple departments and machines
Communicate inventory levels with management
Purchase materials, parts and operating supplies
Evaluate quality, price, reliability, tech support and availability of goods and services
Stow and organize inventory in designated areas
Work with other departments to gauge usage of materials and supplies
Additional tasks as directed by the General Manager

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
