Key Responsibilities

  • Verify purchase requisitions by reviewing details, clarifying unclear items, and recommending suitable alternatives.

  • Prepare purchase orders by confirming specifications, validating pricing, and coordinating with suppliers for substitute options when needed.

  • Monitor and expedite orders to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize purchasing data to support planning and decision-making.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and expand expertise through ongoing training.

  • Contribute to organizational goals by supporting related projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid driver’s license.

  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to follow through on assigned and self-identified tasks.

  • Strong background in purchasing, vendor management, and sales forecasting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

  • Confidence in engaging with all levels of internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

  • Experience in telecommunications or related utilities preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Position is based at STRATA’s Roosevelt Warehouse Office with occasional field visits.

  • Must be able to perform physical activities, including lifting objects weighing over 100 pounds.

Strata Networks, owned by UBTA-UBET Communications Inc., was founded in 1948 when a group of residents living in the remote areas of the Uintah Basin came together to bring phone service to their homes. The existing telephone company refused to serve these regions at the time due to low population density, challenging terrain, and high infrastructure costs. Undeterred by these challenges, the residents formed a Board, establishing a cooperative to provide essential services unavailable to rural customers.

Headquartered in Roosevelt, Utah, Strata Networks has experienced significant growth and employs over 350 people.
