Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Coordinator to manage and coordinate procurement activities within the fashion industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, tracking purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of fabrics, accessories, and other production-related items while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute purchase orders for fabrics, trims, accessories, and other fashion-related materials
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms
• Track purchase orders, shipments, and inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production
• Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and vendor documentation
• Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to understand material requirements
• Ensure quality standards and specifications are met for all purchased items
• Follow up with suppliers for timely dispatch and resolve any discrepancies or delays
• Assist in vendor evaluation and development to improve sourcing efficiency
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
• Prepare regular purchase reports and cost analysis for management review

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Fashion Management, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the fashion or textile industry
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, accessories, and fashion production processes
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Purchase Management systems
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with domestic and international suppliers
• Understanding of cost control and inventory management
• Knowledge of compliance and quality standards in the fashion industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
