Purchasing Coordinator and Receiving Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This key role combines purchasing and warehouse receiving responsibilities to ensure products flow smoothly through our supply chain. The ideal candidate will procure products and supplies and assist with incoming shipments and daily distributions to maintain accurate inventory levels and efficient warehouse operations.

This position requires strong organizational and negotiation skills, proficiency with ERP systems, and the ability to collaborate with our sales and distribution teams to support purchasing, shipping, and receiving activities.

This is a Full-Time position (40 hrs./week) Work days start typically at 3:30 AM but may vary in the future to as late as 7:30 AM. It might include some Saturday hours. Salary range $22-$25 to start.

Responsibilities

Purchasing & Procurement

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process—from sourcing to purchasing—ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • Utilize ERP systems (NECS–Entrée for inventory control and procurement management — training provided).
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate pricing and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve favorable pricing and reliable supply.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Assist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.

Warehouse Receiving & Inventory Control

  • Assist in the receiving of inbound materials and products.
  • Verify shipments for accuracy, ensuring all products are received in good condition and properly documented.
  • Support daily warehouse operation, including occasional hands-on assistance to organize and label inventory for efficient storage and distribution.

Qualifications

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, and warehouse receiving roles.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and general office software (Excel, Word, email).
  • Familiarity with supply chain management and inventory control best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to analyze pricing structures and perform cost-benefit analyses.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use electric pallet jacks and drive forklifts preferred.
