As part of our commitment to ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement operations, we are seeking an experienced Purchasing Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage the procurement of spare parts, maintenance and repair materials, equipment, technical consumables, and service purchases for the light vehicle and heavy equipment fleet.

Evaluate requests received from site operations from a technical perspective and determine the correct part numbers, brands, alternatives, dimensions, and quality requirements.

Conduct supplier research, develop alternative supplier portfolios, obtain quotations, prepare comparison analyses, and support purchasing decisions based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Monitor pricing, quality, delivery schedules, warranty conditions, and supply risks for critical spare parts, and identify cost improvement opportunities.

Coordinate purchase orders, supplier confirmations, delivery tracking, goods receipt, and invoicing processes with relevant departments.

Regularly evaluate supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and service levels, and conduct supplier and site visits when required.

Follow up on return, warranty, replacement, and quality processes related to non-conforming or defective parts and materials.

Maintain purchasing reports, price analyses, supplier records, and contract/quotation archives in an organized and up-to-date manner.

Execute procurement activities in compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, quality standards, company procedures, and budget objectives.

Perform additional duties assigned by management in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in light vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles, mobile equipment, automotive spare parts, maintenance and service operations, technical procurement, or supply chain management.

Hands-on experience in field operations involving vehicles, equipment, workshops, maintenance, repair, or service activities, with the ability to evaluate spare part requirements based on actual operating conditions and failure causes.

Familiarity with technical terminology related to engines, drivetrains, undercarriage systems, brakes, suspension systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical components, and technical consumables.

Ability to evaluate OEM and alternative spare parts, technical specifications, quality standards, brands, warranty conditions, and service life considerations.

Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation collection, price comparison, negotiations, supplier evaluation, and procurement reporting.

Experience in inventory management, order tracking, goods receipt processes, lead time monitoring, quality compliance verification, and critical spare parts control.

Experience coordinating with maintenance teams, service departments, warehouses, accounting teams, and suppliers.

Experience conducting supplier and site visits when required to support procurement activities.

Ability to analyze procurement risks and support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost and supply reliability.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of automotive and heavy equipment spare parts, maintenance materials, procurement processes, supplier management, inventory control, cost analysis, technical documentation, and purchasing best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Ability to read technical catalogs and interpret part numbers. English language skills are considered an advantage.

Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel for supplier and site visits as required. Ability to work in a dynamic operational environment while maintaining compliance with company procedures, quality standards, budget objectives, and occupational health and safety requirements.
