We’re looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to support our expanding operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to join our supply chain team. This role is vital in managing procurement processes, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure seamless manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, along with a solid understanding of procurement management, supply chain logistics, and contract negotiation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, and contract management to meet production needs.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for order processing, inventory control, and supplier management.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify optimal sourcing options based on pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Oversee inventory levels through MRP systems to ensure adequate stock for manufacturing without excess or obsolescence.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to optimize delivery schedules and reduce lead times.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives in vendor management.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and inventory transactions in compliance with company policies.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, vendor management, and logistics operations.
- Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, sourcing strategies, and pricing analysis.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and procurement best practices is essential.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective communication abilities.
- Prior experience managing supplier relationships and overseeing contract lifecycle management is advantageous. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
