Purchasing Lead

Arrow Glass and Mirror is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Lead to join our construction team. If you have a strong background in Purchasing and accounting and are looking to contribute your expertise to a growing construction company, we encourage you to apply.

Duties:

• Identify and build relationships with reliable vendors
• Analyze and negotiate pricing, terms, delivery, and contracts while maintaining quality standards and budget constraints
• Manage vendor performance
• Resolve delivery/vendor issues
• Secure cost-effective procurement solutions
• Perform vendor and material cost analysis
• Conducts and maintains vendor rating system semi annual review
• Prepare and process purchase orders
• Ensure PO accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate vendor selection and order placement
• Track orders and delivery timelines
• Conduct should-cost analysis to evaluate supplier pricing, validate cost structures, and identify savings opportunities based on materials, labor, logistics, and market conditions.
• Request credit memos for returned material or incorrect invoices such as discrepancies with pricing or quantity
• Request remakes or warranty exchanges for defective or incorrectly fabricated material such as glass, hardware, metal and doors/frames

Experience:

• Proven experience in Purchasing, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, financial management, and relevant software applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in using accounting software (QuickBooks Online)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of construction industry billing processes and compliance requirements is a plus
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
