HVD EGYPT – A leading provider of integrated solutions for diagnostics and life sciences – is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Executive to join our Finance & Logistics Division.
This role oversees and optimizes procurement and logistics activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, timely delivery, and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibility:
- Manage procurement activities with pre-approved vendors and suppliers, ensuring reliable supply chains.
- Evaluate supplier performance, including financial stability and delivery reliability, and recommend improvements.
- Place and manage purchase orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor order fulfillment, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery with proper packaging.
- Review and update procurement agreements to reflect current market conditions and organizational needs.
- Oversee logistics operations, including import clearance (EDA) and coordination with warehouse clerks for shipment receipts.
- Monitor and resolve logistics delays to maintain project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, customs documents, and bank/APB documents.
- Provide timely updates to the Accounting Department for financial reconciliation.
- Ensure all procurement and logistics activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with government bodies and logistics providers for overseas purchases and regulations.
- Implement internal controls and conduct regular audits of procurement processes.
- Work closely with departments (e.g., Mega Projects, Accounting) to gather order requirements and align procurement with organizational needs.
- Support the Purchasing Manager with stock updates, reports, and strategic decisions.
- Train and mentor junior staff on procurement and logistics processes.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly procurement and logistics reports, including purchase order status and supplier performance
- Support the Purchasing Manager with data and insights into strategic procurement decisions.
job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing cycles, supplier management, and import clearance (EDA).
- Strong negotiation, planning, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Very good in English and Arabic.
