PURCHASING MANAGER | A BIRD'S EYE VIEW:

Ultimate Top Drives is a fast-paced, innovative hunting vehicle manufacturing company committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality products. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement function and drive strategic sourcing initiatives across manufacturing, inventory, and logistics.

As the Purchasing Manager, you will oversee all procurement operations, including sourcing, contracting, vendor management, and purchasing. You will work to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, while building strong supplier relationships and optimizing our supply chain processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies.
  • Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide optimal products for their needs.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Managing supplier relationships.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Implement procurement systems.
  • Source and negotiate with potential suppliers.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities.
  • Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance.
  • Implement sustainable and socially responsible strategic sourcing practices.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to sourcing activities.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience as a purchasing manager within a manufacturing company.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies and best practices.
  • Demonstrable supply chain experience in the manufacturing industry and familiarity with local & national suppliers and sourcing channels.
  • Experience in implementing sustainable and responsible procurement practices.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization and negotiation techniques.
  • Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems.
  • An analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and systems
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local and national laws and regulations related to procurement.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
