Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute procurement of medicines, surgical items, consumables, equipment, and general stores
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and credit periods
- Prepare, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs)
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers
- Maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory
- Coordinate with Pharmacy, Stores, Biomedical, Accounts, and all departments
- Verify quality, quantity, and specifications of received materials
- Handle returns, replacements, and vendor issues
- Maintain purchase records, invoices, vendor files, and audit documentation
- Monitor procurement budgets and control costs
- Manage AMC, service contracts, and equipment procurement
- Ensure compliance with GST, company policies, and hospital standards
Qualification
- Any Degree / MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management (Preferred)
- Diploma in Materials Management – added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 2years of experience in hospital or healthcare procurement
- Must have knowledge of medical purchases
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of medical consumables, equipment, and surgical items
- Good knowledge of Tally, Excel, ERP, HIS
- Excellent communication and coordination
- Knowledge of GST, audits, and documentation
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
