We currently have an opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join our team! This position will be responsible for managing the supply chain operations, including forecasting, procurement, and monitoring inventory of materials. This position is a key partner in building and maintaining strategic relationships with manufacturing vendors.
This position is based at our corporate office which is centrally located at Rocky Point, overlooking the waters of Tampa Bay.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures that McNichols is a low-cost buyer of Hole Products through the development and execution of supplier and procurement system strategies
  • Accountability for procurement and material cost KPI’s
  • Directs the formulation of purchasing, policies and plans
  • Prepares and implements plans to support our sales activities with sourcing, costing and service solutions
  • Services internal customer needs with a high degree of urgency and professionalism
  • Collaborates with other departments and customers to create total customer sourcing solutions
  • Responsible for supplier performance accountability and scorecard
  • Creates supplier partnerships and relationships focused on meeting our mutual end customer needs
  • Develops and implements product line procurement strategies
  • Manages the activities and performance of Buyers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing sourcing, planning, and procurement
  • Experience with distribution strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership skills in managing and developing a high-performance team of associates
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations and ability to implement processes to support customer requirements
  • Ability to analyze metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and interface at all organizational levels of a business enterprise
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to problem-solve and implement solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other tools with an emphasis in building strong analytical and fact-based data for decision making
  • Ability to work across multiple technology platforms, including both ERP and CRM (JD Edwards E1 and Salesforce preferred)
  • Up to 25-30%% travel required annually
