Purchasing Manager

Job Overview

We are a busy building material supplier seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing operations and optimize our supply chain processes. In this role, you will will be responsible for the material ordering, as well as the negotiation, and management of supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. Your expertise will drive procurement excellence, enhance supplier performance, and support manufacturing and production goals. Duties

• Ordering of the supplies needed to help complete customer orders
• Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies aligned with organizational objectives, including category management and supply chain optimization.
• Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, ensuring favorable conditions that support quality standards and cost efficiencies.
• Conduct market research to identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate supplier capabilities, and develop strategic sourcing initiatives that enhance supply chain resilience
• Knowledge of computer suggestive order processing, including AI
• Familiarity with materials management.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and build strong supplier relationships.

Pay: $62,400.00 - $72,800.00 per year
