Our job opening for purchasing manager's responsibilities are as follows.
1. Develop Purchasing Strategies
- Develop purchasing strategies aligned with the company’s production and operational plans
- Establish sourcing plans that balance cost reduction and supply stability
2. Vendor Management
- Maintain relationships with existing vendors and monitor their performance
- Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms
3. Purchasing Operations
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs)
- Monitor delivery schedules and address any delays or issues
4. Cost Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze purchasing costs and propose cost-saving initiatives
- Track price changes
- Report findings to management
5. Quality & Risk Management
- Address supplier quality issues
- Manage supply chain risks (e.g., delays, raw material price fluctuations)
* Required Skills
- Data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, ERP systems)
- Excellent communication skills (internal teams and external suppliers)
- Understanding of market trends and raw material pricing
- Problem-solving ability
* Typical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, but not required
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proficiency in English and Korean (important for global sourcing)
* Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Production planning
- Monitor production schedule to meet customers' JIT delivery schedule
- Supplier performance
