Purchasing Officer

With stunning resorts located across the globe and exciting expansion planned, Kerzner International currently has a strong>Purchasing Officer /strong>to join One&Only finance team at One&Only Royal Mirage Resort in Dubai.

With the global growth of our brands, you will be an integral part of the Resort s success, and your role goes beyond developing potential relationships with our guests and colleagues. Where you will be responsible for conducting duties in the assigned place of work and provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with One&Only standards policies & procedures in order to maximize efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness of the purchasing section.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Process Purchase Requisitions: All the PRs raised in the system should be processed within the stipulated time frame. To coordinate & assist the respective user departments as regards their day to day requirements.
• Obtaining Quotes: As per the specifications requested by the user department, quotes should be obtained from various suppliers to ensure goods & services are obtained at the best price prevailing in the market. The supplier should be chosen after a comparative study on the basis of the price, quality, lead time etc.
• Process Purchase Orders: Ensure all approved purchase orders are properly & correctly dispatched via e-mail to the respective suppliers.
• Follow up with the suppliers for the delivery status of the goods & services as per the PO dispatched. Also ensure, the supplier acknowledges the receipt of the PO.
• To assist Purchasing Manager in obtaining the relevant details, samples and quotations from the vendors.
• Adhere to Code of Business Conduct & Ethics

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Bachelor s degree
• Computer literate
• Strong Administrative Abilities
• Hospitality experience preferred
